Pangeya Essay Platform — rebuilt from scratch in a Nothing style

Took the IELTS essay platform apart and rebuilt the whole thing in a monochrome, dot-matrix style inspired by Nothing — pure black, a red accent, mono type, a live particle field, and a dot-matrix "WRITING LAB" wordmark with a blinking cursor. Same tool, a completely sharper identity. Every feature survived the rebuild and a few got better. Pangeya AI now lives in a floating button you can open from anywhere instead of being buried at the bottom of the page — it slides up as a panel on desktop and a bottom sheet on phones. AI band-score feedback on each essay stays collapsed until you ask for it, so long feedback no longer clutters the list. Under the hood I made submitting, deleting, and switching to teacher mode instant by rendering from an in-memory cache instead of re-reading the whole database every time. I also disabled spellcheck, autocorrect, and grammar underlines in the editor so students write a fair exam with no hints, and added a proper branded PDF export — every essay downloads with the Pangeya mark, the candidate's details, word count, and any teacher feedback, designed to look clean in both colour and black-and-white. There's a new favicon to match, and the whole thing ships as a single self-contained file.
